Alan Hannah premises opened by HRH The Princess Royal

Alan Hannah’s new premises were officially opened on Tuesday 30th March 2010 by HRH The Princess Royal President of UKFT. UKFT are very keen to support design companies who manufacture in the UK. The new workrooms were purchased and fitted out at great expense, confident in the expectation that we intend to continue to not only design but actually construct and sew our dresses here in the UK for many years to come.

On opening day they waited nervously and HRH arrived at 2.30PM and received by Mayor of Enfield, Eleftherios Savva. The Princess Royal was escorted around the ground floor working area by Marguerite and Alan Hannah. The Princess Royal showed great interest and stopped to speak to all of the staff some of whom have been with us for 20 years. The Princess Royal was then shown upstairs to the showrooms where we had invited a few key retailers and representatives from the main bridal magazines, as well as the Mayor of Enfield and the President of the BBA. HRH was fantastic at putting everyone at ease and it was a very relaxed and happy event. The Highlight of the visit was when HRH unveiled the plaque and declared the workrooms officially open.
